About
I am a biologist with broad interests that generally fall within the disciplines of ecology and evolutionary biology. Ultimately I wish to contribute to our constantly expanding knowledge of Earth’s biodiversity with hopes that a better understanding and appreciation will lead to more effective and widespread conservation efforts. I largely focus my research on arachnids and other terrestrial arthropods.
I am also a passionate nature photographer, interested in digitally capturing everything from microscopic mites to brilliantly colored frogs to beautiful landscapes. Through my photography I hope to capture and share the spectacular diversity of the natural world, even from our very own backyard, in order to inspire curiosity and generate a greater appreciation for the fascinating organisms around us.
